PPP Projects in Energy Sector

More than 30 PPP projects have been implemented in the energy sector using several PPP modalities and partnerships, with a total value of the agreements amounting to more than 3,400 million Jordanian dinars during the past twenty years. The most important of these projects are:

• Natural gas pipeline project from Aqaba to the north of the Kingdom (the second phase of the Arab Gas Pipeline)
• East Amman and Qatraneh stations
• The Jordan Winds Company project in Tafileh
• Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar / Baynunah) project in Muwaqar
• Solar cell projects to generate electricity, the first and second phases
• Wind projects for electricity generation, the first phase
