Disi- Amman Water Conveyance Project

The Disi water project is considered one of the pioneering projects in the water sector, to draw water from the Disi aquifer basin to the governorates of the Kingdom. It was implemented with the participation of the private sector using BOT modality (BOT) for a period of (25) years, starting in 2013. The government participated with (300) USD and the developing company with an amount of (200) USD, and multi-international doners participated in (500) USD approximately. The project supplies one hundred million cubic meters annually, as water is pumped from 55 wells located in the Disi water basin through metal pipes with a diameter of (1600) mm and a length of approximately (330) km, including two pumping stations in Disi and southern Amman
